Here's your opportunity to create one of those millions of direct mail pieces that are delivered every year. You may call it junk mail, and toss it away without even opening or reading it. And yet, direct mail advertisers are getting results. According to a forecast by the Direct Marketing Association, revenues generated by direct marketing – of which direct mail is a part – will reach $1.9 trillion by 2002.
Write a direct mail letter for a product of your choice or one assigned by your professor. Your objective is to convince the reader to take action immediately and buy the product by placing an order by phone or mail.
