The clips use a conversational and engaging format to cover the chapter's main – or most challenging – concepts in the framework of an example of a well-known company. For example, chapter 1 uses Netflix to compare sales and marketing orientations, review customer value and satisfaction, and illustrate how companies implement the marketing concept. Phone Downloads Getting MKTG on your cell phone is a snap. Simply go to http://mktg.studycell.mobiON YOUR CELL PHONE'S WEB BROWSER, and you are ready to start. If your phone and carrier support it, we recommend downloading the Java version. Just follow the link to download the Java modules, it will install on your phone and you will have anytime, anywhere access to the MKTG flashcards and quizzes. If your phone or carrier does not support downloading Java applications, then choose to study right where you are using the WAP flashcards. These are the same flashcards and quizzes, but presented through your phone's browser.
Quick Tips:
• What are the prerequisites to using MKTG on my cell phone? You must have a WAP 2.0 capable cell phone that has web access. The Java downloads do not work on BREW-enabled devices. We recommend contacting your mobile provider to confirm the details of your data plan.
• How do I find my phone's browser? Well this varies phone to phone, and the best thing is do to check your phone's manual or ask your mobile provider.
• How much does it cost to download MKTG to my cell phone? MKTG for mobile phones is free for registered users, but mobile service providers may charge data-service rates for downloading the application or using the WAP flashcards. We recommend that you contact your mobile provider to determine the data plan that is right for you.
• When I download MKTG to my cell phone, it warns me that it is from an untrusted source. Is this OK? If you see an "unverified" or "untrusted source" message when downloading an application to your phone, it means that your mobile provider does not know where you're trying to download the application from. The application will work fine even if your mobile provider can't determine its source.
