News Story

iVillage Inc., a leading media company and the Web's number one online community for women, celebrated its 10-year anniversary this year. One of few Internet pioneers to survive the dot-com bust of the late 1990s, New York-based iVillage created its popular brand around a unique mission: to enrich the lives of women through gender-specific content and Web-based community applications.

As part of its anniversary celebration, iVillage has revamped its Web site, ivillage.com. The often-touted "Internet for women" is now easier to navigate and features interactive content designed to appeal to today's women. In particular, visitors to the site will notice iVillage's increased video capabilities in nearly every section.

Few Internet marketers have enjoyed the success or longevity of iVillage Inc., and none has captured a female audience as effectively. Today the iVillage Network is the number one "women's community site" and the number four community site overall. iVillage averages between 300 and 400 million visitors each month, ranking 31st among the top 100 Web and Digital Media properties. According to recent reports, the women's network has approximately 16.9 million unique visitors in the United States with an average reach of more than 10.5% of the total online population and approximately 14% of women 18+ online.
