Fund Advisors, a professional money management company with roughly $35 billion
under management, has an investment philosophy firmly rooted in the philosophy
of efficient markets. The website explains how this philosophy shapes the
company's investment strategies and offers an interesting piece by Eugene

http://www.vanguard.com/bogle_site/sp20011021.htmlJohn
C. Bogle founded Vanguard, the giant mutual fund company, and introduced the
first indexed mutual fund for individual investors in 1975. Index funds represent
a "passive" approach to investing in which a fund does not try to
select winners and losers, but rather holds a broad basket of stocks to mimic
the returns on an index like the S&P 500. At this site you can read one
of Bogle's speeches offering his evidence on the superiority of indexing over
an "active" approach to selecting stocks.
