Tool Kits

Each Tool Kit shows how calculations used in the chapters are done with Excel. The Tool Kit models include explanations and screen shots that show students how to use many of the features and functions of Excel, enabling the Tool Kits to serve as self-taught tutorials on Excel.

A Tool Kit Index is provided to allow you to find which topics or tasks correlate with specific chapters and their corresponding location in the Tool Kits.

NOTE: You will need to install an Excel add-in file before using the Chapter 11 Simulation Tool Kit. Instructions to do so are included in the Explanation of Simulation document, and the Excel add-in file is simtools.xla.

Instructions: Click on a chapter number to download the Excel or Word file for that chapter. If a spreadsheet or document automatically opens within your browser when you click on a link, hit the back button and right-click on the link. Then choose "save target as" (or "save link as") from the menu that appears. You can then save the file to the location of your choice.
