by EUGENE F. BRIGHAM and MICHAEL C. EHRHARDT

Instructor Resources

Instructor's Manual
ISBN: 0-324-22407-9
This comprehensive manual contains solutions to all end-of-chapter materials. It is available in print form and in electronic form as a download from the text support site.

Instructor's Resource CD-ROM
ISBN: 0-324-22412-5
This CD contains Word files for the Instructor's Manual and Test Bank, completed Excel models for the "Build a Model" problems, Examview files, PowerPoint slides, Mini Case Spreadsheets, Tool Kits, Web Chapters, and Web Extensions.

Test Bank
ISBN: 0-324-22408-7
The Test Bank contains more than 1,200 class-tested questions and problems. Information regarding the topic and degree of difficulty, along with the complete solution for all numerical problems, is provided with each question. The Test bank is available in three forms: (1) in a printed book, (2) in Microsoft Word files, and (3) in a computerized test bank, Examview, described below.

ExamView
ISBN: 0-324-22411-7
Computerized Testing Software contains all of the questions in the printed test bank. This program is an easy-to-use test creation software compatible with Microsoft Windows. Instructors can add or edit questions, instructions, and answers, and select questions by previewing them on the screen, selecting them randomly, or selecting them by number. Instructors can also create and administer quizzes online, whether over the Internet, a local area network (LAN), or a wide area network (WAN).

PowerPoint
There is a Mini Case located at the end of each chapter. These cases cover all the essential issues presented in the chapter, and they provide the structure for our class lectures. For each Mini Case, we developoed a set of PowerPoint slides that present graphs, tables, lists, and calculations for use in lectures. Although based on the Mini Cases, the slides are self-contained in the sense that they can be used for lectures regardless of whether students are required to read the Mini Cases. Instructors can easily customize the slides, because they can be converted quickly into any PowerPoint design template. The PowerPoint files are available to instructors only as a download from the text support site.

Build a Model Spreadsheets
Each chapter has a "Build a Model" problem where students start with a spreadsheet that contains financial data plus instructions for solving a particular problem. The model is partially completed, with headings but no formulas, so the student must literally build a model. This structure guides the student through the problem, and it also makes it easy to grade the work, since all students' answers are in the same locations on the spreadsheet. The parital spreadsheets for the "Build a Model" problems are available to students as a download from the text support site and on the Student CD-ROM that accompanies each new textbook.

Build a Model Spreadsheet Solutions
The completed models (described above) are in files on the Instructor's Resource CD-ROM and as downloads from the text support site.

Excel Tool Kits
Tool Kits for each chapter show how the calculations required in that chapter were done. The Tool Kit models include comments and screen shots that explain how to use many of the features and functions of Excel. The Tool Kits may be used for illustrative purposes in class or used by students as self-taught tutorials. Available on the Instructor's Resource CD-ROM as well as on the instructor's side of the text support site.

Mini Case Spreadsheets
These Excel spreadsheets do the calculations required in the Mini Cases. Added features make it possible to do what-if analysis on a real-time basis in class. Available on the Instructor's Resource CD-ROM as well as on the instructor's side of the text support site.

Web Safaris
The Web Safaris contain a series of links that facilitate Internet searches for useful financial data. Each Web Safari has a specific goal, such as finding the current spreads between Treasury bonds and risky bonds with different ratings. The Web Safaris may be found on the text support site.

Cyberproblems and Cyberproblem Solutions
The text support site contains "Cyberproblems," which require students to go to specific Web sites and answer a series of questions. Cyberproblem Solutions are available through the Instructor's portion of the text support site.
