Cyberproblems
- Find data on GDP, real GDP, and the GDP deflator for the most
recent year or quarter, per your instructor's directions.
- Find data on the components of expenditure for the most recent year
or quarter (per your instructor's directions). Which is the largest?
- Do you feel well-being in society has increased or decreased during
your lifetime?
Why? Find data on real GDP and population in the year of your birth and
for the most recent year. Compute per capita real GDP for each year.
Has it increased or decreased? Is what happened to real GDP relevant or
irrelevant, consistent or inconsistent with what you think happened to
social well-being? Explain.
- Choose a country from each continent. Use the 1999 World
Fact Book to find GDP for each country. What explains the
differences in GDP between the countries?
