Chapter 16 - Oligopoly

OPEC

OPEC, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, is considered by many people to be an evil group of oil-producing countries that plunged the United States and many other developed countries into two recessions in the mid-1970s and early 1980s. But a visit to OPEC’s web site may convince you that they’re really nice guys, whose only goal is to ensure that all the oil that’s needed gets produced.

Game Theory Links

To learn more about game theory, surf the web; many web sites contain useful information. You might start at Stony Brook’s Center for Game Theory in Economics. A great site with links to everything is Al Roth's Game Theory and Experimental Economics Page.

Tying

A particularly well-written discussion of tying, why it is illegal, and under what conditions it is legal can be found on the web site of Aurora WDC.
