MarketSim is an online simulation designed to help students in microeconomics
classes better understand how markets work by taking on the roles of consumers
and producers in a simulated economy. In the simulations, students “make” and
“accept” offers to buy and sell labor and goods asynchronously via the Internet.
The goal of MarketSim is to provide instructors with a flexible teaching tool
that can be used to motivate students to better understand a wide variety of
