Description
The story covers two days in the
operation of the Ostrich Burger shack.
On the first day, business is brisk at OB,
and Max and other customers are lined
up around the corner. But everyone is
ordering many more burgers than nuggets.
Near the end of the day, Marge runs
out of burgers, but she has leftover
nuggets. She then decides for the next
day to make more bugers and less
nuggets and to raise the price of her
burgers.
The next day Max and the others
customers come back to OB, but they
complain about the price increases for
burgers. Marge's customers leave for
the new emu burger restaurant across
the street. Marge realizes she must
lower her prices to bring her customers
back.

Day 1
Customer #1: I'll have 3 O-burgers please...
Marge: Comin' right up!...
Marge: Next!
Customer #1: Uh, I'll have four O-burgers and one O-nugget...
Marge: OK, you got it
Marge: Next!
Customer #3: Two burgers please...
Marge: Next Order!
Customer #4: I'll have 3 O-burgers and one O-nugget...
Customer #5: Five O-burgers please...
Customer #6: 16 burgers please, I'm buyin' for the whole office...
Customer #1: (later that day) Do you have any burgers left??
Marge: I'm outta burgers...but I still have plenty of nuggets!
Customer: You sure you don't have any burgers left? I'd be willing to pay more than $2 for one!
Marge: Tomorrow. I'm not makin' as many nuggets...I'll use more of my meat to make burgers. They're selling like hot cakes…and today I found out that people are willing to pay more for them! I think it's time I raise my price!
Day 2
Customer #1: That sure is a lot for a burger, I think
I'll go somewhere else.
Other Customers: Wow, look at those prices. Geez, I'm outta here! Hey! Let's try that new place across the street. Yeah. They're much more reasonable.
Marge: Well, it looks like I'm charging too much for my burgers.
Marge: At this price I'll never sell them all.
Marge: Let's see if I can sell all my burgers at that price!
