The U.S. Census Bureau announced that 38.8 million Hispanics live in the USA today, making Hispanics the largest minority group in the USA for the first time since records have been kept. Since the Census was taken in April 2000, the Hispanic population grew at a rate of 9.8%, compared to a growth rate of 2.5% for the entire U.S. population. Hispanics accounted for half of the national increase and make up 13% of the nation's population. |
