The International Standards Organization has become globally used in managerial circles for standards such as ISO14001 for environmental auditing. Using that model, the Council on Economic Priorities Accreditation Agency (CEPAA), has developed Social Accountability 8000 (SA8000), so companies can assure an equitable and safe workplace for their employees and those of their suppliers.
