Pooling of Interests
Provided here for optional use are files containing additional coverage of accounting for pooling of interests. Although as of July1, 2001, pooling of interests is no longer allowed under U.S. GAAP, accountants and others interested in the financial reporting of corporations will still encounter the results of such business combinations in prior periods. Thus, it is helpful for students to understand this method.
